About Mike Charbonneau
I first picked up a camera over 35 years ago, introduced to manual photography through a friend. The mix of artistic and technical applications opened a world of both wonder and fascination which, for me, is reflected in American photojournalist Burk Uzzle’s statement: “Photography is a love affair with life.”
In that time I've had the opportunity to develop my technical abilities through various workshops and courses, and to this day, continue to define my visual identity. More importantly, photography has enabled me to experience life with a more observant and appreciative eye, looking to capture moments, serendipity and hopefully, to tell a story that can be shared by others.
“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” —Edgar Degas
*Each photograph is limited to a maximum of 25 prints. Image of the photographer by Marina Charbonneau.
